Scripture Pop Up Tool

Having said that, the fact remains that any gospel presentation tool is useless without the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. As you evangelize to children with these (or any other) tools, may we encourage you to commit your efforts to God. It is He who would minister to the hearts of your listeners.

The Thompson Chain Reference Study Bible is a tool that allows you to study topics found in the Bible. The words and phrases under each of the Scripture references show you which topics are found in those verses. Each of these topics is assigned a reference number. The Scripture reference to the right of the reference number is the next verse in the forward referencing system. Tap on the number next to mercy (2297).

God's word is amazing. We believe that modern Bible software should be more about the scriptures than the reference material. To that end, SwordSearcher is replete with scripture discovery features like a Word Cloud Generator, a Word Tree Explorer, and the most useful collection of cross-references ever published, integrated right into the King James Bible. And of course, all of this is quickly out-of-the-way when all you want to see is the text of the Bible.

SwordSearcher began in 1994 and has been regularly developed and improved since then. We take very seriously the honor to create tools that you use in your study of the Holy Bible. Great care is taken to make software that works well and is not difficult to learn and use. SwordSearcher is a serious PC application and leverages the power of the platform to make your computer truly work for you in your study, whether it is a small laptop or a desktop rig with multiple monitors.

The Search Bar is one of the most powerful tools in SwordSearcher because it doesn't just take commands. As you type, it also helps you find words you may not know how to spell and suggests phrases you might be looking for. It can even help you find alternate word forms, like "love, loving, loveth," etc.

The Quick Concordance is a convenient way to do quick, "on-the-side" Bible searches without opening new verse list panels. It's designed to help you do a fast search without interrupting your current train of thought and study flow. It's a "floating tool window" which can be left on top of SwordSearcher while you do other things.

The Word Tree is a visualization tool designed to help you see Bible search results in a very different way. See groupings of the sentences and phrases flowing into and out of a word or phrase across the whole Bible or just chapters or books. Interactive and fast.

The Bible Word Cloud Generator builds fascinating lists of words from a passage or search results, showing you the relative emphasis on words in any given group of verses. The Bible Word Cloud Generator is highly configurable and a great Scripture visualization tool.

The English-Strong's Indexer (ESI) is a word-study tool that shows which Greek or Hebrew words from Strong's Lexicon that were translated into a given English word. The ESI shows each of these words with Strong's lexicon definition, each English rendering, and sample verses of each instance.

Unfortunately because of copyright restrictions most open-access bible study tools (like those posted here) are not able to include the NRSV text. However, an online edition of this text can be found at Oremus.

This is an incredible tool that has been designed by Tyndale House, Cambridge and is completely free of charge. It offers multiple Bibles (including original languages) and sophisticated and flexible search functions that cater for English, Hebrew and Greek word searches. It also includes lexicons and commentaries.

*our verse mapping plans are created to compliment the Verse Mapping Journal or Digital Verse Mapping Journal PDF This is not a physical product. A pdf will be emailed to you. The plan lists what scripture to read and what verse to slow down and map from your reading. They have been carefully and prayerfully prepared and are incredibly fruitful when worked through.

Wow! I was excited to receive the journal and scripture mapping plan, but I had no idea just how much I would love them. Not only am I reading the Bible, but I am reading and digging for deeper understanding and insight! These are wonderful tools and resources!!

As many of you certainly have found, there are a handful of organizations who have developed a tagging tool webmasters can link to in their pages that will convert the Bible references into links which will take you to the organization's web page and display the Bible text. Most now also show the text in a popup when the cursor is over the reference. This is a helpful feature, but there are still some shortcomings,

After doing some research we determined a Chrome Browser Extension was the best system to make a local, "stand-alone" reference tagger/viewer from. It also helps that Chrome is now the most popular browser, at around 65% market share. So learning the Chrome APIs and working in our spare time, the Lord allowed PopVerse for Chrome to be developed. There is no other reference tagging tool like it, and here's why.

As mentioned above, there has been online server based linking systems available for several years. These require each web site's webmaster to place a link to the remote tool in each page of his website he wants to link. Then while a page loads, it must also load the JavaScript file on the remote server before it can finish. If the remote organization's server is slow or down, this can hinder the page loading. Another significant issue is if the remote server was hacked, anything, including text, images, or even videos could be sent in place of Bible text. Think about that a minute!

RcVCite comes with a sample style, RcVCite.css.You can change it to make the verse overlays match the style of your website. This tool allows you to preview changes to the styling.Note that it affects all the overlays on the page. Why? Because Logos provides the same technological benefits provided by Google or Amazon (availability on multiple devices, syncing of position, real page numbers, images, easy maneuverability, etc.) while also providing a host of tools that are of particular interest to pastors and Biblical scholars.

It's been a long journey for me in finding the right mix of tools to aid my study of scripture. It started with Olive Tree's Bible Study app, eventually moved to Ulysses, and now, thanks to my exposure to the Zettelkasten system, Obsidian is now the home of my notes.

This is one of those topics where each individual could have a slightly different setup than the next person. But tools like Roam Research and Obsidian are the perfect for taking your study to a deeper level.

The ability to connect your thoughts on related topics is why I started using a tool like Obsidian. And Bible study is the perfect use case for it. If you're a student of scripture, give Obsidian a try.

We will demonstrate this in action. Open the Paratext project TKE_GaA, and navigate once again to Mark 1:16. Click on the spell check tool on the toolbar. Some of the words in Mark should become underlined.

The Find in Dictionary and Related words functions are accessible from within the wordlist tool. Sometimes you may be working in the wordlist tool and you want to know what a word means, or add a word to the FLEx dictionary. It is not necessary to close the wordlist tool to work with the FLEx dictionary.
