Cheap Things To Buy In Canada !!INSTALL!!

If you're a fan of cross-border shopping, these tips could help you on your next trip! There are some items that are way cheaper on either side of the U.S.-Canada border and you could be missing out by purchasing them on the wrong one.

The research also found that, on average, visiting tourist attractions in Canadian cities like Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal is cheaper than doing similar activities across the border. The same applies to hotel rooms, with travellers paying a whopping 47% more on average in the United States than in Canada.

Another thing worth buying on the Canadian side of the border is medicine, which is much cheaper as prices are regulated in Canada. The difference in prices on either side is so big that many Americans often buy prescription drugs from their northern neighbours, says HelloSafe.

Finally, if you're considering purchasing a new car, it's possible that it will be cheaper in Canada. Unsurprisingly, it depends on the make and model that you're looking for, but you could save over $3,000 on a Volkswagen Golf or equivalent, while a Toyota Corolla or equivalent could also be thousands of dollars cheaper.

Remember, if you're bringing goods from one country into another, you must declare them. You may also have to pay tax and duty fees, which is worth keeping in mind before committing to a purchase that may seem cheaper!

OXO is my go-to kitchen brand for cheap, well-designed tools. This measuring cup set has an angled surface that allows you to see measurement markings from above as you're pouring, so you can better measure ingredients without bending or lifting the cup to eye level.

Hours: Some are 24 hours like the one in Shinjuku and Ginza in Tokyo, others can be 9AM -5AM. Basically drop by any time during the day. Shopping at night is probably the best time to go when other things are closed.

When it comes to things to buy in Japan, Bic Camera might be my favourite, not because I always come out with big purchases, but I love browsing the camera floor to see how they display their products, how thorough their brick and mortar stores are compared to North America, and to compare prices.

But not everything at the retail giant is a good deal. To some reviewers, for example, Kirkland's light beer tastes as cheap as it costs, while perishable foods like milk or fresh produce might spoil before you have a chance to use all of it.

While you're thinking about smoothies, consider adding some fruit from Costco's freezer section. There are many organic choices at prices much lower than at another grocery store. Reader's Digest put this item on a list of things you should buy at Costco, and we agree.

Canadians believe stone totems bring good luck and side away from all evil spirits. Stone totems have typical words written on them that mean things like bringing life back to the lifeless and so on.

If you have a taste for fine liquor, head for the many shelves of duty-free liquor when flying internationally. Connoisseurs of scotch, for example, will likely come away with a bottle or two at far cheaper prices than back at home.

Just like Cadbury cannot be sourced in its European form in the United States, there are other things sold in airport duty-free shops that are not available back at home. Specifically, the foreign candy aisle of duty-free, which includes:

Electronics are one of the things most consumer advocates would advise not to buy at the airport, but the prospect of a long flight with no headphones or an iPad with a dead battery can be hard to fathom for some.

As you can see, most things on my list aren't necessarily for specific meals. Rather, they are staples that we try to keep on-hand at all times if I shop in bulk once a month. By keeping up with the coupons and stocking up on the items that are on sale that month at Costco, we tend to always have the things we need on-hand so we don't have to pay full price for them in a time of need.

However, on the flip side, don't be afraid to store things. Some people might not want a Costco-sized pallet of toilet paper because, well, that's a lot of toilet paper to hold onto! But guess what? It's cheaper. Deal with it ? Haha. Hide it under a bed, in a Rubbermaid bin in your garage, under your stairs. Don't be afraid to hold onto things that you will use. The savings are worth it many times!

Heads up! You might not need 800 toothbrushes. If it's just you and your spouse, it would probably take you a few years to go through a Costco-sized container of toothbrushes. Don't get too excited about the convenience of Costco. If you only need 2 toothbrushes, maybe buy a $1 toothbrush and put the money you would've spent on Costco toothbrushes toward other things.

Now, keep in mind, it depends on why you are buying. Costco may be more expensive than Walmart (that's where I am comparing my prices because those are the two places I shop), but their quality might not even compare in some people's minds. The quality of the things I buy isn't different enough for me NOT to save money. Does that make sense?

I would really enjoy having free things from Costco. I really do love shopping there get all the things in bulk. Hope that Costco never ever does go out of business. You can save so much money when you buy things in bulk so much money. And the membership is very very reasonable.

Besides electronics, beauty products are the most worthy category when we talk about what to buy in the USA. Not just because they are cheaper, but also because you can find some brands that are only sold there, and most of them are not only good but also affordable! *score*

Wanna buy incredible but affordable makeup? Try drugstore brands. They are excellent and cheap. Most of my brushes are from e.l.f. The photoFocus line from wet n wild is like magic in a bottle. Wanna go crazy? Just search for Colourpop, they have so many products, and they are all amazing.

A quick reminder that luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, etc., are cheaper than in most places, but they are more expensive if you compare it to European prices, especially since you get your VAT back when shopping in Europe at the end of your trip.

If you are actually into collecting kicks, you will find the most different and exclusive models in the USA, and even if they are not cheap, they probably will be worth it for you. For workout clothes, I honestly think the prices for Nike, Adidas, etc., are insane and only recommend you buy them from outlets or discounted stores such as TJ Maxx or ROSS. If you are into Lululemon, though, you should definitely buy it in the states.

Last but definitely not least, baby stuff. This category is so cheap in the USA that many bloggers and famous people take a trip abroad just to shop for all their baby essentials. So not only can you save some money, but you have so many good options to choose from!

Lastly, the cheapest item in the baby category, the Fisher Price Infant to Toddler Rocker Chair. It holds even bigger toddlers (up to 40lb/18kg), it reclines, and it even has two different vibration speeds to help soothe your baby. In addition, the fabric part can be thrown in the washing machine in case of any accidents, and the toy bar is removable.

I already mentioned some products that are not worth buying in the US. Most of them have a low price difference compared to other countries, and then it makes no sense for you to spend your money on it. So instead, save to buy these items back home and buy other things on your trip.

As I told you repeatedly through this post, most products in the USA are not that much cheaper than in Europe. Yes, you can still save hundreds of dollars if you buy a lot or do your shopping at outlets, but you may also enjoy this opportunity to buy some brands that are not easily accessible back home, such as e.l.f., wet n wild, Colourpop or Glossier.
