Turnitin Crack.epub: The Ultimate Guide to Cheating on Your Assignments

Aubrey Boorman, director of public education for the Home School Legal Defense Association, told the conference: Turnitin and similar software products do provide a tool for academic honesty. He referred to the inclusion of plagiarism in the uniform code of conduct adopted by the high school association as the school board. As an example, Boorman used the passage from the code of conduct that deals with cheating. The paragraph reads:

However, the backlash against plagiarism in the academic world has brought back the fear of doing the correct research and knowing where to look. Students and academics alike are looking at the use of technology as a way to ensure that the transmission of knowledge and skills as they stand today is preserved. However, turning to technology itself is short-sighted and questionable. This is especially the case with plagiarism detection systems such as Turnitin, which have been used to point fingers in the academic community.

It is argued that with the introduction of plagiarism detection systems, students are provided with an awareness of scholarly conventions and the current practices of the academic community but they are then expected to make decisions about how to proceed as scholars. It is suggested that for this to be the case plagiarism must be seen as a sole contributor to the act of plagiarism. The two can be used independently of each other. Plagiarism is viewed as one aspect of the problem and not the problem itself. Phrasepreneurs are also asked to step back and consider the ethical responsibilities of not just what they do but what they support. The judgment of the situation is a responsibility and responsibility only is seen within the conventional academic frame. Attribution of work is something which is not even considered by some authors and they see it as a distraction from the essential act of plagiarism. This leads to students and academics not treating plagiarism as the problem that it is and instead, using it as a reason to set about 'fixing' plagiarism. Another worrying feature in the minds of many researchers is the lack of independent verification. Relying on the information provided by the software company means that the students work is treated as unverifiable. Student work, even when previously verified, can be and is seen as unreliable. Another feature to be carefully considered is the use of the technology for pedagogical purposes. The rhetoric of teaching has shifted in the digital era. In traditional teaching the student is told what is expected and a pedagogical approach is used. This is avoided at all costs by educators so that their biases are not exposed. So it is not surprising that the use of such software as Turnitin is met with suspicion. This mistrust is exacerbated by the fact that the people who use the technology are often from outside the community and are not familiar with the customs of academic practice. The academic community, in both a physical and sense, must consider both the ethical imperative as well as the wider social implications of what is going on. In particular the academic community should be wary of being seen as tech-savy. On the one hand this can be seen as a positive move as it places academics and students in a position where academic work can be supported and values that will remain in the community after graduation can be embraced. On the other hand, it can also be seen as marginalising 'non-academics' and being oppressive to those excluded within academia. It can also be seen as developing an environment in which self-fashioning becomes the main tool used to engage with academics and to be seen as a legitimate academic. Such work becomes a means to be used to prove that one is successful in academia, not as a tool to contribute to the community itself. The issue of ethical guidelines and the removal of author discretion needs to be emphasised. The statement by CCCC-IP (2012) shows that it is not enough to point out the existence of plagiarism. What this shows is that there is only one way to deal with plagiarism and that is to follow a set of ethical guidelines such as those shown in the statement by CCCC-IP.
