On a computer
Go to www.facebook.com in a web browser. If you're not signed in to Facebook, you'll need to sign in with your email address or phone number and password.
Click the down arrow icon in the top right corner of the page and select Settings & Privacy from the drop-down menu.
Click Settings and then click Your Facebook Information in the left sidebar.
Click Download Your Information and then click View next to the Download Your Information option.
Select the date range, format, and media quality of the data you want to download. You can also choose which categories of data you want to include or exclude by checking or unchecking the boxes next to them. If you want to download all your data, you can select All of my data from the date range menu and check the box next to Select all.
Click Create File. Facebook will start preparing your data for download. This may take some time depending on the size and complexity of your data.
Once your file is ready, you'll receive a notification on Facebook and an email with a link to download it. You can also access your file by going back to the Download Your Information page and clicking Available Files.
